About me
I’m Sari (she/her), thirty-something, and currently living in Copenhagen, Denmark. I have a PhD in theoretical nanophysics and I currently work as a software developer in a small start-up.
I sing in a choir. I play in a band. I draw. I paint. I dance samba. I play piano and concert flute. I make synthesisers and audio effects. I also use em-dash (‘—’). I like it—it looks beautiful. And I have had a key dedicated to it on my keyboard for more than ten years now. That’s longer than transformer-based large language models (“AI”) have been around. Isn’t that crazy? I do parkour. That’s like dancing … but on walls.
Professionally, I develop software in Julia and Python. A lot of that is now just managing three to eight Claude Code sessions, setting up agentic workflows and reviewing slop requests. It’s not as fun or as challenging as designing and writing code by hand. So when I’m not at work, I try to keep my brain sharp by doing things “the old way”. I write my Rust code from scratch. I read documentation, look at examples, and I may ask Lumo for advice, but I never let it code for me. It’s more fun. And it feels good.
About this website
I made my first website when I was eleven, shortly after I got my first computer. I have lost count of how many websites I have had since. But I was inspired to make a new one and help bring back the minimal web. That’s how this one was born.
It’s made with Zola and Caddy. The HTML and CSS is hand-written by me. The fonts used are Alegreya, Allison, and JuliaMono.
